From the growing site to a ready-to-collect bouquet
A flower farm has a different operating rhythm from a wholesale market. Harvest availability, bouquet preparation and public opening hours determine what can be offered. A vending or pickup cabinet can provide a defined collection point for prepared arrangements while the growing team continues its work.
Separate flower preparation from public collection
Choose a public-facing position near the approved farm shop or garden centre entrance. Keep customers away from production aisles, loading areas and vehicle movements. Define which team harvests, wraps and checks flowers, and which team loads the cabinet and answers collection questions.
Offer an assortment the harvest can support
Plan a small range of ready-wrapped seasonal bouquets. Check the widest wrapping, overall height and base support against usable compartment clearance. Update the customer-facing assortment when the available stems change. Avoid promising year-round varieties when the farm grows seasonally.
Direct sales and reserved farm pickup
Choose between walk-up sales and collection of reserved bouquets. For pre-orders, confirm pickup-code functionality, the supported order workflow, collection windows and handling of uncollected flowers. Integrations and customer notifications require confirmation for the selected software.
Site and cooling review
A canopy or greenhouse does not establish that a cabinet is suitable for outdoor exposure. Provide ambient conditions, sunlight, moisture, power and network availability for a model-specific assessment. Agree flower storage settings with the florist or grower and establish loading-time and quality checks.
A pilot scorecard for the grower
- Sell-through of each harvest-based bouquet tier.
- Collection completion within the agreed window.
- Unsold flowers and time spent preparing and replenishing each batch.
- Sales outside staffed farm-shop hours, where site access permits.
Review the modular flower locker format for planned order collection, or a seasonal bouquet display for an assortment review. Confirm suitability and dimensions for the selected configuration.
Check flower machine specifications and bouquet fit.
